PVC steel wire reinforced hoses are PVC hoses with an embedded steel wire skeleton. The inner and outer walls are transparent, smooth, and bubble-free, allowing for clear visibility of fluid transport; they are resistant to low concentrations of acids and alkalis, highly elastic, and resistant to aging, resulting in a long service life; they are also resistant to high pressure and maintain their shape under high vacuum. Main features include:
1. High-elasticity, high-strength galvanized metal wire and high-quality PVC synthetic material;
2. Clear and transparent tube body, good flexibility, and small bending radius;
3. Resistant to high negative pressure, corrosion-resistant, non-toxic materials, and long service life;
Uses of steel wire reinforced hoses: Used for suction and discharge of liquids, gases, oils, and dust in agricultural water pump machinery, oil depots, petrochemical equipment, industry, engineering mines, food manufacturing, and other fields. They can replace rubber hoses in most working environments.
Applicable temperature range: -10℃~+60℃
How to identify the quality of steel wire reinforced hoses:
In most cases, without any testing tools or conditions, we can roughly identify the quality of PVC steel wire reinforced hoses based on visual, olfactory, and tactile senses.
1. Observe whether the tube cavity is regular and whether the wall thickness is uniform. High-quality PVC steel wire reinforced hoses have a standard circular cross-section with evenly distributed tube walls. Taking a PVC steel wire reinforced hose with an inner diameter of 89mm and a wall thickness of 7mm as an example, a low-quality hose may have a wall thickness of up to 7.5mm at its thickest point and only 5.5mm at its thinnest point. Under high pressure, uneven stress on the tube wall can easily lead to bursting or deformation of the PVC steel wire reinforced hose, affecting normal use.
2. Observe whether there are bubbles or other visible impurities in the PVC steel wire reinforced hose wall and whether it is colorless and transparent. High-quality PVC steel wire reinforced hoses have crystal-clear walls without any impurities. Inferior PVC steel wire reinforced hoses may be yellowish in color, possibly due to improper processing, aging, or improper storage during the manufacturing process.
3. High-quality PVC steel wire reinforced hoses have only a slight plastic odor and no other petrochemical product odors. Low-quality steel wire reinforced hoses have an unpleasant, pungent diesel smell, especially in hot summer weather, making it difficult to be near them.
4. High-quality PVC steel wire reinforced hoses have smooth inner and outer walls and a pleasant feel, while low-quality hoses are rougher.
5. When measuring wall thickness, the ends of the PVC steel wire reinforced hose should be cut off, and the middle section should be used as a sample for testing. This prevents unscrupulous manufacturers from manipulating the ends of the hose, where the actual wall thickness may be thinner than at the ends.
6. Cut off a few centimeters of steel wire from both ends of the PVC steel wire reinforced hose and repeatedly fold the wire to test its strength and toughness. Low-quality steel wire will break after one or two folds, while the steel wire in high-quality PVC steel wire reinforced hoses requires special tools to cut. The quality of the steel wire determines the overall quality of the hose; PVC steel wire reinforced hoses with quality problems caused by the steel wire are prone to irreversible deformation.
